Successful innovation happens in the meeting between different ideas, perceptions, and types of knowledge. Many companies constellate multidisciplinary groups across the organization, however, teams often don’t have a clear view of who is sitting around the table and as a consequence experience conflicts, stress, uncoordinated action and wasted time.

To help leaders and teams develop a new understanding and respect for diversity, we identify and map innovation profiles. By seeing and understanding the individual differences in relation to innovation work, teams learn to synchronize their different ways of thinking, they gain a new respect for diversity – and working together becomes much more innovative and enjoyable.

We use several tools, among these the Creative Problem Solving Profile (CPSP®) by the Canadian Professor of Innovation, Min Basadur, which is a blind test indicating individual creative problem solving preferences in relation to process. Another tool is the 10 Roles of Innovation, which enables individuals and teams to play different roles during an innovation project, and through the activities discover strengths and development potentials, individually and as a team.
